By adminApril 22, 20090News The e-India 2009 Competition was held in New Delhi and received thousands of applications for the award of the Best Rural ICT Centre of the year. Our institute has reached the highly competitive final round.With the assistance of a few well wishers abroad and the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka, we conduct our activities on a voluntary basis. Although operating from a small building in an under-privileged village at Hingurukaduwa in the Moneragala District, we are engaged in a wide range of activities in the ICT field. Our competitors were three institutions from India, South Africa and Malaysia. We are proud of the opportunity to represent Sri Lanka at an international competition, despite being in an under-resourced rural area.
