We believe that it’s important for our students to learn the fundamentals of IT: Coding, robotics, programming etc… However, we quickly noticed that for many of our older students, the jobs that they went on to do required them to use things like excel, word, and email, essentially requiring them to know how to use Microsoft Office efficiently. Because of this, we decided to shift our focus and make sure that our older students had these necessary skills so that they were prepared when they started their respective careers. Although this program was working really well and we started making a good reputation for ourselves within the local community, once COVID-19 hit, we had to shut down all our programs and lost our access to computers. Today, we are awaiting funds for our new building at our first center in order to reinstate this program that we care about so much.
